Matrix Contractors is a family-owned and operated general contractor dedicated to helping restaurant owners bring their concepts to life. Founded in 2008 by Larry and Carol Walther, Matrix brings more than 50 years of construction and architectural experience, with a deep understanding of the unique demands of restaurant projects.

With the majority of its work concentrated in the Houston area, Matrix specializes in restaurant build-outs at Houston’s Hobby and Bush Intercontinental Airports, as well as ground-up construction and remodels for independent and national brands. The team understands the importance of schedules, budgets, health department requirements, and operational efficiency — delivering projects that are not only built well, but built to perform.

Since its founding, Matrix has completed more than 400 projects, primarily throughout Houston and the surrounding region. In 2019, Matrix received the Landmark Award from the Houston Business Journal for its work as General Contractor on Eunice Restaurant and was recognized by GC Magazine as one of Houston’s top restaurant contractors.
